Potential Energy Recovery and Direct Reuse System of Hydraulic Hybrid Excavators Based on the Digital Pump

The potential energy recovery of hydraulic excavators is very significant for improving efficiency and reducing pollutant emissions. However, the more common solutions require conversion processes before these energies can be reused, which adds to complexity high cost system. To tackle above challenges, we proposed a novel system hybrid based on digital pump with an function. new could operate in three different modes: pump, recovery, direct reuse. Based descriptions working principle whole system, mathematical models excavator arm cylinder, accumulator were established AMESim simulation model (combining mechanics, hydraulics, electrics) was developed. dynamic characteristics studied under no-load full-load conditions. results showed that this scheme achieve 86% when boom lowered reused recovered directly raised, decrease input by 78.1%. This paper provide optimized solution construction machinery or off-road vehicles presents reference research hydraulics.
